Role of Enforcement
The role of Enforcement is to ensure compliance with the Private Security Services Acts 2004 and 2011 by monitoring and controlling the security industry through inspections, investigations, enforcement, the issuing of sanctions and undertaking prosecutions where necessary.
The role is undertaken by a network of Inspectors located throughout the country who ensure that compliance with our licensing legislation is enforced. Our Inspectors are supported by an administration team in Tipperary.
Goal 2 of Our Strategic Plan 2014 to 2017, “Ensure compliance with licensing requirements” provides details of our enforcement objectives.
